Youth Programs and Compliance
The Office of Youth Programs and Compliance aims to promote the safety of youth participating in NC State programs and activities through a comprehensive compliance program.
NC State proudly hosts minors who participate in a variety of programs, camps, research and events led by university departments both on and off campus. Youth engagement is a vital part of our land-grant mission, reflecting our commitment to education, service and community impact.
The Department of Risk Assessment administers REG 01.25.18 – Programs that Involve the Participation of Minors to help ensure the safety and well-being of all minors involved in university-affiliated activities. This regulation outlines key responsibilities for faculty, staff and volunteers working with minors, including mandatory reporting requirements for known or suspected cases of child abuse or neglect.
