The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals is hosting the Certified Threat Manager exam on Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 3-5 p.m.

The application fee is be $400 for ATAP members in good standing and $550 for nonmembers.

In order to be eligible to sit for the CTM® examination, an individual must:

• Possess five (5) years of qualifying professional experience in the field of behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM), or
• Two (2) years of membership in good standing in ATAP as defined in the Association Bylaws and three (3) years of qualifying professional experience, which may be concurrent.

Presented by Nicole Jones, Ph.D., LP, CTM , the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) is offering a free session of the NC BeTA NCBIO-25 training! The NCBIO-25 is a structured professional judgment tool developed by the NCSBI for use by law enforcement personnel conducting behavioral threat assessment. It includes 25 dynamic risk variables associated with risk for targeted violence. Protective factors can also be scored for 19 of the items.

The training will take place in Talley Student Union on Friday, Sept. 18 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Our training space can accommodate up to 75 attendees, so don’t wait to sign up!
