How do I register for the symposium?
You can register for the 2026 NC Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Symposium via our registration form.
What is included in my registration?
Registration for the 2026 NC Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Symposium will include access to all speaker sessions and lunch on both days. Breakfast will also be offered on day two.
What is the registration deadline?

Can I register on site?
Registration on site may be available depending on how many registrations we receive prior to the event. Please refer back to this webpage closer to the symposium date for a definite answer.
How much does it cost to attend the 2026 NC Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Symposium?
There is no cost to attend our symposium! This event is funded by the Wolf Pack Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) – Targeted Violence Prevention and Response initiative and the NC State Department of Risk Assessment.

The full agenda for the 2026 NC Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Symposium can be found on our Agenda webpage. The full agenda will be published June 2026 after speakers have been finalized.
Do I need to sign up for specific sessions in advance?
You do not need to sign up for specific sessions in advance. Once your registration for the symposium is confirmed, you will have access to all offered sessions.
Will presentation materials be shared?
The sharing of presentation materials after the symposium will be left up to the speakers’ discretion. We cannot guarantee that you will have access to presentations after the symposium. This is subject to change.

Where is the symposium being held?
The 2026 NC Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Symposium is being held in the Piedmont-Mountains Ballroom in the Talley Student Union on the NC State University main campus, located in Raleigh, NC.
How do I get to Talley Student Union from my hotel?
Transportation from your hotel will depend on where you’re staying.
Talley Student Union is situated near the bus stops at:
- Morrill Dr. at Cates Ave
- Morrill Dr. at Carmichael Gym
- Reynolds Coliseum
- Dunn Ave. at Jeter Dr. (Coliseum Parking Deck)
These stops are serviced by campus Wolfline buses and by municipal GoRaleigh buses.
You may also use third-party services such as Uber or Lyft if your hotel is not located near a Wolfline or GoRaleigh bus stop.

Is parking available? Is it free or paid?
Visitors of the NC State campus must use one of the designated visitor pay areas throughout campus when permits are required. Hourly rates apply.
- $3 for the first hour or any portion of
- $2 for every additional hour or any portion of
- Time can be extended at $1 for 30 minutes or any portion of
- $15 daily rate maximum
- There is a $.35 fee per transaction for using the ParkMobile app.

The closest paid parking to Talley Student Union is the Coliseum Deck. The deck is 2-5 minute walk from Talley, depending on which level you park.
Is the venue accessible (ADA compliant, elevators, etc.)?
Talley Student Union is fully accessible with access to both stairs and an elevator. Additional amenities at Talley include:
- A dedicated lactation room on the fourth floor in room 4122. To make a reservation, use our google calendar.
- An Interfaith Prayer and Meditation room, located in room 2116. This room is available during building hours.
- Multiple single occupant restrooms
- First Floor – Room 1201B (Starbucks)
- Third Floor – Room 3250 (By the State Ballroom)
- Fourth Floor – Room 4243 (Past Student Government)
- Fifth Floor – Room 5244 (Past LGBTQ Pride Center)

What is the nearest airport or transit hub?
The nearest airport is the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, located approximately 20 minutes from the NC State campus.
The nearest train station is Union Station, located in downtown Raleigh and approximately 10 minutes from the NC State campus.

Will meals or refreshments be provided?
Lunch will be provided on both days, and breakfast will be provided on the second day only.

What is the dress code?
The dress code for this event is business casual. Talley Student Union can be cold, so we recommend bringing a sweater, cardigan or cover-up of some kind.
